Light commercial HVAC
Heating and cooling for small and medium businesses in the Yakima Valley
Tyler, our Commercial Comfort Advisor, plans light commercial installs, maintenance and repairs for shops, offices, clinics and restaurants.
Chapter 01
Light commercial HVAC from a company that has done it for decades
Farwest Climate Control provides light commercial HVAC services for small to medium-sized businesses, with multiple decades of experience behind it. The company started in 1982 with one truck and is now owned by Burt Ross. Commercial work is not a side project here. It has its own advisor, Tyler, who carries the title Commercial Comfort Advisor.
Installation is the first group of work: new HVAC system design and installation, energy-efficient heating and cooling systems, and ductwork design and installation. Ductwork matters in a building with a counter, a back room and a customer entrance, because one thermostat in the wrong spot makes half the floor too warm and the other half too cold.
Farwest also has its own electrical department, Farwest Electric, so the heating and cooling work and the electrical side live under one roof.

Maintenance plans and repairs for a building that cannot close
Maintenance services are built around the facility. Farwest offers custom tailored preventive maintenance plans, discounted hourly rates for contract customers, and indoor air quality assessments. A plan written for a restaurant kitchen and a plan written for a small office should not look the same, so the schedule starts from how your building is used.
Repair services include emergency HVAC repair, diagnostic and troubleshooting services, and parts replacement and system upgrades. For an emergency, call the office at (509) 457-5346. The office is staffed Monday to Friday, 8 to 5.
When a repair stops making sense, an upgrade is the next conversation, and financing is available for HVAC installs, efficiency upgrades and repair work. Tyler can walk the building, give you options, and explain the financing steps before you commit.
Chapter 03
Specialty systems, energy management and the buildings we work in
Specialty services cover commercial refrigeration systems, zoned HVAC systems, and smart thermostat installations and programming. Zoning is often the practical fix for a building where the sunny front windows and the interior storeroom never agree on a temperature.
Energy management starts with energy audits and efficiency consultations, then extends to building automation systems and renewable energy HVAC solutions that include solar integration. If you want to know where a heating and cooling bill is going before you spend on equipment, the audit is the place to begin.
Their key projects are retail stores, small warehouses, office buildings, healthcare clinics, restaurants and cafes, and educational facilities. If your building is one of those, call the office and ask for Tyler.
