Furnace, heat pump and A/C repair in Yakima and the valley
A service tech diagnoses what the furnace, heat pump or A/C is doing and gives you options to meet your budget. Repairs can be financed.
Chapter 01
When the furnace quits on a cold morning or the A/C runs and the house stays warm
Most repair calls start the same way. The furnace short-cycles or locks out on a cold Yakima morning, the heat pump ices over, or the A/C runs all afternoon in a Selah or Union Gap house and the rooms never catch up. Behind those symptoms sits a short list of usual suspects: a flame sensor or igniter that has worn out, a capacitor or contactor that has failed, a refrigerant leak, a clogged condensate line.
Farwest repairs furnaces, heat pumps and air conditioners across the valley, from Moxee and Terrace Heights to Toppenish, Zillah and Prosser. Their own description of the work is short and plain: “Our team will diagnose your system problems and offer solutions to meet your budget. We can also finance repairs!” The diagnosis comes first, and the options come after you know what is actually wrong with the unit.

A service tech who calls ahead, diagnoses first and says what he found
The service department is Justin, the lead service technician, with Payton, Juan and David. A Google reviewer, Richard N., wrote that Justin was early, called to get the go-ahead instead of just showing up, got right to it, and left a couple of pointers on how to clean his own conditioner coil. His unit was working great afterward.
When a unit is down in hot weather, the job is to keep people comfortable while the real fix gets arranged. Cindy Cliett wrote that Payton made sure a temporary A/C was brought to her parents' house, that Jose brought the unit and helped Payton hook it up, and that the estimate was very reasonable. Both of them, she said, were professional and polite.
If the repair is bigger than the budget likes, ask about financing. Farwest finances service and repair work, not only new installs, and the financing page explains how approval works.
Chapter 03
After the repair: Comfort Club discounts, a parts and labor warranty, and an honest line on replacement
A repair is the right call when the system has years left in it, and a good tech tells you when it does not. When an older system keeps stacking up repair bills, the conversation moves to replacement, and a Comfort Advisor walks the house with you and lays out the options. The system replacement page covers how that visit and the install go.
Comfort Club members pay less for the repairs they do need. The base plan takes 10% off HVAC repairs. Comfort Club Plus takes 12% off dispatch fees, HVAC repairs and electrical repairs, and Comfort Complete takes 15% off HVAC and electrical repairs. Repair parts and labor are warranted for 90 days, 6 months or 1 year depending on the plan. Plan prices are not published, so ask the office at the number below.
Their slogan is “We're not comfortable until you are.” On a repair call that reads simply: the job is done when the house is warm or cool again.
