Farwest Electric
Electrical panel upgrades, inspections and thermal imaging in Yakima
Evan, Tyler and Eli inspect and thermal-image your panel, replace breakers and upgrade the panel when the house needs more than it can give.
Chapter 01
The panel you never look at until a breaker trips
Most people have not opened their electrical panel since the day they moved in. It sits in a garage or a basement and does its job until something changes: a breaker that trips every time the dryer runs, a panel with no open slots left, or a heat pump and an EV charger that both want a circuit the box cannot give them.
A dangerous panel does not announce itself. Rob Carlson, a Farwest customer, wrote that Nate started with the heating system he recommended and also pointed out the dangerous electrical panel in the house, and that without Nate they would not have known. That is how many panel upgrades start: a comfort advisor is in the house for another reason and sees what the homeowner cannot.
Farwest Electric handles the panel work directly. Electrical panel upgrades and circuit breaker replacements are both on its service list, and the electricians are the same people who show up on HVAC installs.

How the electricians look at a panel before they touch it
The work begins with an electrical panel inspection and electrical panel thermal imaging, both listed under their maintenance services. Thermal imaging shows heat the eye cannot see, and a connection that runs hotter than its neighbors is worth knowing about before it becomes a bigger problem behind the wall.
Evan is the lead electrician, Tyler works as an electrician, and Eli is the apprentice. A customer who had a new HVAC unit installed named Eli and Evan for handling all the electrical work flawlessly, so panel and circuit work gets planned with the install crew instead of being squeezed in after the equipment arrives.
That coordination matters when the house is adding things. A heat pump may need its own circuit, an EV charger installation needs one too, and smart home systems and home automation draw on the same box. The electricians check what the panel can carry first, then decide whether a breaker swap is enough or the panel itself should change.
Chapter 03
Paying for it: plan credits, financing and what to ask
If you are on a Comfort Club plan, check the tier. Comfort Club Plus includes a home electrical safety inspection and $250 toward electrical panel upgrades and generator installs. Comfort Complete puts $500 toward the same work. Either plan also takes a percentage off electrical repairs: 12% on Plus and 15% on Complete.
Farwest also finances electrical upgrades and repairs. A comfort advisor comes to the house to talk through what you need, and once there is a plan you go over the financing options together. Their stated approval time for homeowners is typically within two business days. No rates or lender are published, so ask the office for specifics.
When you call, tell us what the panel is doing: tripping, humming, out of slots, or simply decades old. We are open Monday to Friday, 8 to 5, and the office will set a time for an inspection.
